We require you to create an account and log in to use TipTracker.ai. This protects your sensitive financial information and ensures only you can access your data.
We collect and store your financial information solely to provide TipTracker.ai services to you. This includes tip tracking, analytics, chatbot features, and other tools to help you manage your money. Your tips, budget, and expense data are securely stored in our cloud database (Supabase) so they sync across your devices and are never lost — protected by encryption and strict access controls, and tied only to your account.
We never sell, rent, or hand over your personal information. Your name, your email, your login, the exact dollars in your account, the fact that you specifically made a certain amount on a certain night — that stays yours, full stop. No marketers, no advertisers, no "data brokers" get any of it. Ever.
Here's the truth, plain and simple, because you deserve it: tipped workers have been invisible in the data world forever, and that's part of why nobody ever fought for fair tip treatment. TipTracker is changing that.
When you log a tip, we may attach a few non-identifying labels to it — like a job type ("server"), a venue type ("casual dining"), and a general region (your state and the first three digits of a ZIP). We then blend your numbers together with thousands of others into big anonymous averages, like "bartenders in Texas averaged $X per shift in March."
Those blended, anonymous insights are what we may share or sell to partners like payroll and point-of-sale companies — especially now that tip income matters more than ever under the new No-Tax-on-Tips rules. No name. No email. No employer. Nothing that points back to you. Just the collective story of how tipped workers actually earn, finally counted.
Why tell you all this so openly? Because the truth sets us free. This is the engine that keeps TipTracker free, keeps it growing, and turns your tips into a voice for the whole industry. And if you'd rather sit it out, that's 100% your call — flip off "Anonymous data sharing" in Settings anytime and we'll stop attaching those labels. No guilt, no downgrade, the app works exactly the same.
If you buy a Premium plan (monthly, annual, or a one-time Lifetime purchase) or additional tokens, your payment is handled by Stripe, our secure payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly — we never see or store your full payment information. We only keep what we need to manage your account, such as your plan type, subscription status, and renewal date. We don't sell or share any of your billing information.
We work with secure providers to run TipTracker — Supabase (storage) and Stripe (payments). They're bound by strict privacy agreements and only handle what they need to keep things running.
